closed today. as it says goodbye to its home at the palace of fine arts. the popular science museum is moving. it's been in the marina district nearly 45-years. it's moving to a bigger building along the embarcadero.. the new home gives the exploratorium more room to expand all the teaching and training it does behind the scenes. and there will be lots more room for exhibits. >> for the first time we will have exhibitions in and out. instead of justice f cave,e will be able to experience the elements and wonderful use of the bay. there will be an entirely new building of glass. you will see the entire bay area. >> catherine: the new space is still under construction. the exploratorium will open >> that is correct. the palace and fine arts is in the marina district but it is moving 3 mi. east. to the other side of the city the exploratory mobile along the embarcadero at pier 15. it will be opening on april 17th. >> jacqueline: there is a very cold night tonight but warmer conditions expected on friday. as we take a life of outside from the bay bridge toll plaza. crystal clear skies this
